I would never hire an ex con. #SorryNotSorry
I get “youthful indiscretion,” or whatever. But there are a ton of others who thought twice before doing something stupid. Call me heartless if you want, but I’d much rather hire someone who’s been out of work through no fault of their own than some jailbird.
You’ve paid your debt to society, that’s great. But that doesn’t mean society owes you anything.
Spade a Spade
I’m so tired of people talking about what “real” women or “real” men look like. Do they realize that there are actual medical gauges that show healthy weight ranges based on height, age, and gender? That’s what a “real” person should look like!
Fat shaming is not okay, but neither is skinny shaming. If we continue to tell young boys and girls that “real” men and women are overweight, our ‘reward’ is yet another generation of fat people. That’s if anyone lives long enough to actually have kids.
Keep It Generic
Retailers should never put dates on things. It just guarantees you’ll have waste. The only time a year should ever be printed is for big events like the SuperBowl or what have you. Otherwise, even if the event is in December 2018, say, by January 2019 it’s already out of date! Get a clue, retailers.
