Following Oprah Winfrey’s rousing speech at the Golden Globes, rumors began to swirl about whether she might challenge President Trump in the 2020 election. I sincerely hope they’re just rumors.
Oprah running for President is a bad idea, not because she’s a woman or black, but because of her inexperience. Even Trumpeteers have learned that lesson.
Being President is a tough job. We can’t hand it over to any Tom, Dick, Harry, Donald, or even Oprah. Next election, let’s ditch the fringe candidates and get back to the business of politics and what’s actually good for this country.
